Mercury

Our first road circuit project, built up from a 2001 Yamaha R1 frame heavily modified to accept a modular 120v lithium battery system from A123 and an axial flux permanent magnet synchronous motor. Unfortunately, MERCURY was deconstructed before it hit the road and the lessons learned from this project were carried over to our next e-superbike.

Chronos

Our very first bike, a 1997 Suzuki Katana purchased in 2013. Built for the drag strip, running a 48v lithium battery and twin DC electric motors, this bike was a true first of its kind and a stepping stone for the future of SPARK Electric Racing. Chronos broke two world records on its debut run: the 1/8 mile: 10.94 seconds at 59.84 mph and 1/4 mile: 17.99 seconds at 65.69 mph
